Dan in Real Life

1. What I think is that you can know something and know what you should be doing, however, sometimes it is hard to apply them to your life. So I think Dan understood the concepts he was writing about but it was hard for them to apply them.
7. I think so. I think people don't believe that some people are capable of loving in some situations. Like if you're young or if you haven't known them very long. I think love is a lot about choice, and if you find someone that makes you feel that way then it's easy to start loving them.
17. My perfect day would be a busy day filled with being outside, being with good people, and playing good music.
27. I think teenagers can be hard on their parents.
29. I would like to have a house maybe by a beach that would be good.
30. I am a terrible bowler, I'm not very athletic.

"Reel Life"

  • My favorite movie of all time would have to be "Moonrise Kingdom." I love the music, I love the actors that were in it and I love Wes Anderson's work. It was beautifully done and I could watch it a ton of times without getting tired of it.
  • I don't really like action movies or superhero movies.
  • I don't watch movies that often, only when there's a good one I really want to see. When I do watch them it's usually in the living room or in my room.
  • The environment doesn't matter, although I'd prefer a more comfortable one, as long as the movie is good.
  • Here are my test results:
  • Take a look at how you scored on the Big Five personality dimensions below.
Your scores, compared with the responses of other people, suggest that you may be described as follows:

    YOU ARE 67% EXTRAVERTED.

You are moderate in activity and enthusiasm. You enjoy the company of others but you also value your privacy.

YOU ARE 83% AGREEABLE.
  • If someone had to play me in a movie it would probably be Uma Thurman because she's one of my favorite actresses. If I had to choose points in my life it'd be over, I'd probably go back to my childhood and then some things from the most recent couple of years.

Night Hopper Inspired Writing

This reminds me of going to that old restaurant cedar's. It's a greasy little place on the West Bypass. I go there with my dad a lot, or I used to. It smells greasy and it's just a place people go to get cheap food that tastes good enough.

Window Poem

I see moving traffic.
To the left there is a parking lot.
Today the weather is better.
There are always cars driving by.
I always get a glimpse out of it in the late afternoon.
The sky is always blue and when I look out the window, I just see my home.

Poems for Pieces by Artists Profiled

The man didn't have a lot left.
His wife had died from a serious illness.
He retired from his job decades ago.
And all his children had left him to start their own families.
He was all alone all of the time.
All he had to fill the silence of loneliness was his guitar.
His calloused fingers would pluck the strings.
And the hole would be filled everytime.
But even so he would think of all he'd lost.
In an effort to overcome this loss, he tried to create something.

The man looked into the mirror and wondered who he was.
It was hard for him to tell.
He'd been through so much.
He was no longer the innocent boy from Ohio.
He'd gone through many different homes.
Friendships.
Relationships.
Different phases too.
He was in a completely different place now than when he started.
So when he looked in the mirror, he was a lot of different things.

Artist Profile - Pablo Picasso

Pablo Picasso was born on October 25th, 1881 in Malagu Spain. He was born to Don Jose Ruiz y Blasco and Maria Picasso y Lopez. He had two sisters, Lola Picasso and Conchita Picasso. His father was an art teacher and encouraged Picasso to get into art. He was educated at Madrid's Royal Academy of San Fernando. He had many affairs but his two marriages were to Olga Khkhlovu and Jacqueline Roque. Five major world events he went through were Beatlemania, World War 2, Civil RIght's Movement, World War 1, and the Korean war. Three struggles that he faced were financial distress, divorce, and his friend's suicide. He mostly did paintings and he was a very strong figure in the cubism movement. His three most famous work's are Guernica, The Blue Room, and Three Musicians. Two pieces of the artist that I liked were Guernica which is based on a bombing. Then, Three Musicians which is a cubic piece of three musicians.
